National Volunteer Week – Celebrating our Zebra Coalition® Volunteers April 21 – April 27

National Volunteer Week is a time to celebrate people doing extrordinary things through service. Meet Charlie Comiskey, one of our dedicated Zebra Coalition® volunteers.

Married to his husband, Greg, for 11 years, Charlie is orignally from the Washington D.C. area. A graduate from Virginia Tech, which resulted in him becoming a “huge” football fan, Charlie moved to Central Florida to become an airline pilot. He is currently a First Officer for JetBlue Airways.

“I have had some success in the past finding places to give my time, but I didn’t feel connected to any of them. I was intrigued and immediately interested in Zebra Coalition®. I felt very strongly that my time would be best used helping LGBT+ youth who are not as fortunate.” On what volunteering at Zebra Coalition® has taught him, Charlie shared, “It is easy to forget how lucky we are and a friendly reminder is very healthy.  If only we all did just a little more to help those who need it, we can make a huge difference.”

Thank you Charlie for giving your time and talent. You make a big difference and to each youth we suppport.
