Karen (she/her) joined the Zebra Youth team in March 2024 as the new Housing Program Manager and will be supervising the youth case managers for our bridge, transitional, and rapid rehousing programs. Her professional experience includes working with and for several nonprofits in many capacities, though she continues to be drawn to housing initiatives. She is passionate about helping others. In her early career, she worked with youth in the Boys Club of America before shifting her focus to helping adults. Now she works with young adults and welcomes the challenges of working with this specialized population. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, and supporting her grandchildren’s sporting events which include lacrosse, volleyball, and basketball.
Jocelyn (she/her/ella) joined the Zebra Youth team in February 2024 as a Youth Case Manager for the Brighter Days housing program. She has a Master’s Degree in Human Services and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in victim services and a minor in Psychology. Throughout her career and education, she has gained extensive experience in providing comprehensive, strength-based, and person-centered services to help support and advocate for diverse populations. When she is not devoting herself to work, she enjoys spending time with her bulldog, watching trash TV, pretending to be as talented as Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen, drinking a nice, cold frozen butterbeer at Universal Studios, and planning her next vacation.
Joey (he/they) joined the Zebra Youth team in March 2024 as the Youth Case Manager for the SURE housing program supporting 18-24 year olds living with HIV. He earned his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work from UCF (Go Knights!). In his degree programs, he had the opportunity to work with youth who were experiencing physical or mental health challenges in a hospital setting. In his free time, he enjoys photography and going to Disney with his partner. Joey is passionate about advocacy work with the LGBTQ+ community and loos forward to working here at Zebra Youth!
