Leelah (she/ella/they) joined Zebra Youth’s case management team in May of this year. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BA in Social Work and later a self-designed Master’s focusing on Intercultural Education and Entrepreneurship. Leelah is an accomplished alto saxophonist and an active member of the Central Florida Community Arts. When she’s not empowering and advocating for youth, Leelah can be found planning her next adventure or spending time with family.
Zach (he/him) joined Zebra Youth in August 2023 as a Clinical Intern. He was hired as a part-time Mental Health Therapist in January 2024 and was then promoted to a full-time Mental Health Therapist in June 2024. Zach is passionate about incorporating elements of creativity into his counseling process. When he’s not supporting youth at Zebra, Zach spends his time writing, playing board games, listening to music, and trying new foods.
Maddie (she/they) joined the Zebra Youth team in September 2023 as a clinical intern while completing their Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rollins College. Maddie spent their undergraduate years working in therapeutic horsemanship and equine-assisted therapy, and hopes to one day be able to re-integrate this back into their work. They are a passionate advocate both for LGBTQIA+ rights and for their clients, and have a particular interest in mindfulness and strengths-based work. When not working at Zebra Youth, Maddie can usually be found reading sapphic literature or riding one of their horses. Maddie is also currently working on earning their doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. After graduating in May 2024, Maddie joined the Z-Crew full-time as a Mental Health Therapist.
Troy (he/him) joined the Board of Directors for Zebra Youth in May 2024. Native to Florida, Troy lives in Orlando with his two daughters Lily and Ella. He serves as Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager for PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking division within the Central Florida market. (Orlando and surrounding, Ocala, Brevard and Volusia County). He is active with several community organizations including Advent Health Foundation, Junior Achievement, United Way, and the Second Harvest Food Bank. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors, doing CrossFit, traveling, and spending time with his two daughters.
